Beauties of Sitakund

You know Bangladesh is the daughter of beautiful nature with unbelievably amazing hills, waterfalls, sea beach, and so many spots. When we are talking about beautiful Bangladesh, the first place that crosses our mind is the beauty queen of our country Chittagong with hell lot of tourist places like mountains, waterfalls, and sea beaches. Chittagong bears a lot of places and one of them is Sitakund Upazilla. 

Sitakund is like a full package budget tour place. Here you get to see a lot of things like Chandranath Hill, Shohosrodhara Waterfall, Khaiyachhora trail, Napittachhara trail, Guliyakali Sea Beach, Bashbaria Sea Beach, Baghbiani and a lot more.

CHANDRANATH

While talking about the hills of Sitakund, the very first name we hear is the Chandranath Pahar. Almost 1200 ft high this mountain is a pure piece of attraction for tourists and travelers. This mountain is not much far from the locality. If you are in the Sitakund Bazar, it will take just 20 to 30 minutes to reach the bottom of the mountain if you take CNG. In the beginning, you will get some stalls selling bamboo sticks that will help you climb up the hill easily. But climbing mountains is not that easy. Mostly children and women are discouraged to think of that. The way up to the hill is very risky. Water is a must taking item here. You will get dehydrated very easily. Going alone is a risk. There is a chance to get lost very easily and there is no one to rescue you. 

MIDWAY TEMPLE

There are two temples on the mountain. One is the midway and another one is on the top of the mountain. The one you see in the picture is the midway temple. The other one that is on the top of the mountain is called Chandranath temple and this mountain is named after this temple. It is a matter of wonder that who and how these two temples were built back then, isn't it? Anyway, people of the Hindu religion come up here and do their religious behavior. Moreover, the place is very peaceful.  

TOP VIEW

Once you reach the top of the mountain you will get to know that all the hardship you went through to reach the top is worth it. The top view is heavenly. The sunrise we always enjoy from the beach but the sunrise view from the top of the mountain is an unearthly feeling. After a very short moment, you will get to see the clouds very near to you and it's like you can touch it and sometimes it's too near that it will make you drenched. The whole Sitakund town is visible from here and you can also have a view of the Bay of Bengal from here. The sound of the shore is hardly heard. Overall this place is worth travelling to. You will enjoy every single moment here.
